20/21 day program starts in Nadi Fiji and ends in Rarotonga.
Seven days in Fiji, seven days in New Zealand and seven days in Rarotonga, Cook Islands.
Stage 1: Fiji – Island stay, authentic eco-village stay with locals and two nights in Nadi town.
Stage 2: New Zealand – Auckland, Rotorua and Tongariro National Park (visit to Hobbiton film set if time allows)
Stage 3: Rarotonga – the capital and youngest of the Cook Islands
Opt in/opt out arrangements. Enter or exit at the beginning or end of any segment. 7 days in each location.
Open to enrolled college and university students. Evidence of enrolment and Statement of Good Character required by home institution professor or study abroad advisor.
The program covers a range of experiential and service learning opportunities. These include:
Cultural experiences in all three island nations.
Overnight stays on a marae and traditional village, cultural immersion activities, joining in on the New Zealand haka to support the famous All Black rugby team. Visit Rotorua, the cultural capital of New Zealand.
Voluntary service projects
In Fiji and Rarotonga through community engagement initiatives. These will be for restorative and educational purposes.
Gaining a deep appreciation of all three island nations ecotourism initiatives to support the long term sustainability of tourism.
From snorkelling, diving, skiing, snowboarding, sailing on the Americas Cup yacht, tropical rainforest walks, blue lagoon fishing and so much more to do.
Learn about the famous power of Polynesian navigation in Rarotonga, protection of lagoons flora, the call of the drum, the language, the music and the Spirit of the South Pacific.
