For tourism, hospitality, viticulture and culinary  students. New Zealands’ reputation in the production of wines is now global with many international award winning varieties.


Note: students from age 18 are eligible to register for this study tour in accordance with New Zealand legislation.


 December 2017 tour  – South Island

2017/2018 15 day program with optional viticulture or hospitality industry placement  in one of the famous wine regions. Starts Wednesday 27 December 2017 and ends Thursday 11 January 2018.




Open to all enrolled college and university students from age 18 years. Evidence of enrolment and Statement of Good Character required from home institution professor or study abroad advisor.



We start in the award winning Marlborough wine region for a few days and then through the Canterbury and Waitaki Valley boutique wine regions in central east coast South Island. Its then on to our final destination in the land of Pinot Noir – Central Otago and Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world for some final fun and adventure.


The program

The program covers New Zealand award winning wines, meeting wine makers, visiting a number of vineyards,  New Zealand wine, cheese and food pairing experiences and learning about the viticulture industry in New Zealand. There is a New Zealand cuisine cooking class and you travel through the country to experience the real spirit of New Zealand.

There is also time for fun, adventure, recreation and sightseeing!
